I define a plant based eating lifestyle as one that is based around consuming wholesome, plant based foods such as, fruits, vegetables, legumes, grains, nuts and seeds with a great emphasis on minimizing the amount of animal products consumed; including meat, fish, eggs and dairy products.
I consider myself plant based, not vegan.
I align and understand the ethics and humanity behind veganism. The hard reality is that the meat and dairy products we get from grocery stores directly contributes to the cruel treatment of animals. Period.
Another part of me recognizes that there are some of us who require meat or least have not yet learned how to live without it..The struggle and goal for me is finding the balance between staying aware of where food comes from and feeling good and satisfied after.
This is where The Non Dairy Fairy was born. To create and find recipes that are cruelty free and satisfy!
