5 ways to prepare tofu

I honestly don't remember the first time I had tofu. I do however remember the first time I had good tofu, which to some may sound like an oxymoron. It was a marinaded tofu "steak" and it was fucking delicious. After that meal my mind was official open and I knew good tofu was possible.


Since that delicious dinner at Tee Jay Sushi located in Wilton Manors, FL, I have found an appreciation for tofu and discovered it can be prepared in many yummy ways.


1. Fried Tofu

Anything is good fried, right? Tofu makes no exception! Check out my recipe (coming soon) for the perfect fried tofu. I hate to sound cliche but it tastes like chicken!

2. Tofu Scramble

I mentioned in my plant based post how tofu scramble makes a great breakfast option and alternative to eggs. This recipe by minimalist baker is a must try.

3. Grilled Tofu

For this recipe by healthy nibbles all you need to do is marinade the tofu, throw it on a grill pan and enjoy!

4. Easy Lemon Dill Tofu

Another way to prepare tofu is a simple pan fry. This recipe by OhSheGlows is smothered in a delicious and light lemon dill sauce.

5. Baked Tofu

Go ahead and do a double take of these beautifully prepared buffalo tofu by The Curious Chickpea. This recipe includes breaded tofu that is baked until nice and crispy, then tossed in a spicy buffalo sauce.
