1. Minimalist Baker
The Minimalist Baker celebrates simple cooking by sharing recipes that require 10 ingredients or less, one bowl, or 30 minutes or less to prepare. We love the open-mindedness of recipe creator, Dana. Many of the recipes on Minimalist Baker are plant based, though they are not an exclusively vegan or plant based website. "We welcome all eaters and require all discussion to be kind and respectful of other members." Can we just bask in the cozy feeling of inclusivity?
2. Oh She Glows
Oh She Glows website creator, Angela, gets incredibly relatable by sharing how she "identified with the vegan label for many years but eventually found that the external pressure to be perfect was overwhelming and instead decided to embrace a label-free lifestyle." Her mission is "to show how to find your inner and outer glow through mouth-watering and crowd-pleasing plant-based recipes...Healthy eating shouldn’t be complicated or fussy, and I believe that we can create positive changes through sharing delicious recipes with loved ones."
3. Sweet Potato Soul
Not to worry, all of the recipes in Jenne`s blog are strictly Vegan, but they aren't all laced with sweet potatoes! However, they are all made with a generous sprinkling of soul. In addition to the hundreds of delicious and easy-to-make vegan recipes, be sure to subscribe to her YouTube channel for cooking videos and healthy eating tips.
4. Deliciously Ella
Deliciously Ella is another fantastic plant based blog with wonderful insight on the importance of plant based nutrition and education. We couldn't agree more with founder, Ella, that "avoiding meat and dairy products is the single biggest way to reduce your environmental impact on the planet as an individual." She goes on to state she is passionate about "the fact that eating more plant-based food is not a want but a need, as we look to the ever terrifying reality of climate change..."
5. Kitchen Treaty
Last but most certainly not least, recipe blog, Kitchen Treaty, created by Karen Raye, speaks our language. Kitchen Treaty has over 500 recipes, more than 100 of them are one dish made two ways, veg friendly and/or carnivorous. This self proclaimed home chef gets incredibly relatable by stating "vegetarian, vegan, omnivore, gluten-free, dairy-free, picky kids, lack of time … we all face challenges when it comes to food and families." She makes it her goal to keep "the kitchen your place of joy and even solace – not a battleground – one whole-food, family-friendly meal at a time. Regardless of dietary limitations!"
